Olivia Barfield

Community Environmental Management Specialist |
CU

Olivia Barfield is a Community Environmental Management Specialist at Communities Unlimited (CU), where she works with rural and disadvantaged water and wastewater systems in her home state of Louisiana. Having grown up in the small village of Dry Prong, she is familiar with rural issues and finds it gratifying to assist these systems and their communities. Olivia is a graduate of the University of Louisiana Monroe where she earned her Master of Business Administration. She also has a lot of love for communications and media, which she used to help develop a trial apprenticeship program at CU.

Still a newbie to the water/wastewater field, Olivia strives to learn more about how these systems function in the U.S. and in her communities. When she is not at work trying to figure out what all the acronyms mean, she is likely spending her free time outside.

Title: World Cafe – Using Google Classroom for Training
Day/Time: Thursday, 8/18 | 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Description: This will be a brief demonstration of how to use Google Classroom to deliver online training. Google Classroom is a learning management system (LMS) that is accessible, flexible, user-friendly, and, in most cases, free. We have used this program at Communities Unlimited with success and believe it could be a valuable tool across the RCAP network.
