Andy Crocker, SERCAP Special Programs Manager, has been part of the Southeast RCAP (SERCAP) team for seven years. Prior to assuming his current position in June of 2021, he served as SERCAP's Virginia State Manager of Regional Programs where he provided and oversaw Virginia's Training and Technical Assistance efforts to rural utilities throughout the commonwealth. Before joining SERCAP in 2015, Crocker spent over 25 years in the water industry serving in a variety of capacities including nine years as a Circuit Rider for the Virginia Rural Water Association (VRWA), two years as a North American Water Products Specialist for Metrotech Corporation, four years as the VRWA Training Specialist and eleven years in waterworks operations for three different utilities. In his current role at SERCAP Crocker manages Virginia's Facilities Development and Essential & Critical Needs Grant Programs and oversees the Region's training efforts. He received a B.A. degree in Interdisciplinary Studies/Middle School Education from Virginia Tech, holds a Virginia Class I (Virginia's highest) Waterworks License, and is an Adjunct Faculty Member of Virginia Tech's Department of Continuing and Professional Education where he is a regular instructor for waterworks operations short courses, several of which he assisted in the development of and a co-author of the accompanying textbooks.
